Bar Revenge brighton

Set right opposite Brighton Palace Pier is the vibrant and bustling Bar Revenge. This gorgeous venue is adorned with eye-catching artwork and lighting, but it is the people who truly make this bar (R-Bar, as known by locals) so special.

The venue is under the same ownership as the well-renowned LGBTQ+ nightclub, Club Revenge, and aims to create a safe and fun experience for the community. It is just around the corner from the club which makes it a great option for pre-drinking.

R Bar is a great and lively spot to go for a fun evening of drinking but also to get involved in on-stage events and watch live shows.

For a chilled night where you can show off your trivia knowledge, ‘The Big Queer Quiz’ on Monday is for you. Participate in 6 rounds of quizzing for £2 per person and put your heads together to win massive cash prizes. Make sure you’re upstairs at R-Bar for 8 pm.

If you don’t fancy staying out until too late, head down to R-Bar on Wednesday at 8:30 pm for ‘Glew’s Big Ball Drop’ which consists of 3 rounds of comedy-filled bingo for only £2 and the chance to win free drinks or even a cash prize! It runs for 2 hours, and if you arrive before 8 pm, you can enjoy some half-priced refreshments. Are you sold yet?

The bar hosts karaoke on Thursdays, which is free to participate in and runs from 9 pm to 12 pm. To make things even better, they serve up 2 for £12 cocktails and offer some shot deals too. Be bold and take on your favourite song at the R-Bar stage and show the crowd what you’ve got. Even if you’re a little shy, you’re bound to have fun as a spectator too!

Fancy seeing some amazing local drag artists? Make sure to visit on Fridays or Sundays for ‘Cabaret of Queeriosities,’ an event originally included at Brighton Fringe but now permanent at R-Bar. The lively and captivating shows begin at 7:30 pm on Fridays and 7 pm on Sundays.

You won’t want to miss their awesome deals! We are talking 2 for £14 cocktails and half-priced drinks between 5-8 pm every single day. They offer a range of delicious classic cocktails, such as Espresso Martinis and Mojitos, in addition to their signature cocktails that include a ‘Barbie Margarita’ and ‘Main Squeeze’.

The ‘Barbie Margarita’ consists of tequila, triple sec, tangy lime, and dragonfruit syrup, while ‘Main Squeeze’ is a citrussy concoction of Gordon’s Sicilian Lemon Gin, lime, syrup, and lemonade; plus, it’s even named after the venue’s lip sync and karaoke host!

If their cocktails sound tempting but you prefer a sober night on the town, they also offer six mocktail choices, which are all priced at £5.50. The extensive drinks menu also includes draft beer and ciders, an impressive array of spirits, and a tonne of shots, bombs, and shooters.

If the nifty drink selection wasn’t enough, they have an entire pizza menu! They serve up 12″ pizzas with a range of toppings in collaboration with Pizzaface, a Brighton-based pizzeria that uses fresh and high-quality ingredients and cooks in a stone-based oven.

The pizzas are made to order and cooked at the Pizzaface store. There are non-gluten options and separate vegetarian and vegan sections on the menu, making sure there is something for everyone. To top it all off, choose from a range of sides such as Greek salad, olives, coleslaw, and garlic bread.
