MEATliquor is by far one of Brighton’s top burger spots. The rustic American diner vibes add to the experience of indulging in a dirty burger. With all their beef sourced from English cattle, they blend aged shoulder and rib with just the right amount of fat to create the juiciest burgers, all served in sesame buns for that extra touch.

Looking for a burger with a kick? They’ve got you covered with the ‘Chillionaire Burger’ – a double patty packed with American cheese, almost-famous beef chilli, and pickled red chillies. The spice levels are just enough to keep your taste buds tingling for another bite.

Their latest addition, The New Blue, has quickly earned high praise from customers. Oozing with creamy blue cheese sauce, this flavour-filled burger takes indulgence to the next level.

Their Steakhouse Burger is the star of the menu, featuring a double smashed salt-aged beef patty, truffle cheese fondue, pickles, and a butter bun. While it embraces the simplicity of a cheeseburger, the rich and gooey cheese fondue elevates it to a whole new level – offering a salty, sharp, and indulgent bite that truly tantalises the taste buds. The potato bun complements the beef, showcasing the rich flavours without the need for anything extra.

Moving away from the beef scene and focusing on chicken, The Joker, in partnership with Lost Boys Kitchen, serves some of the best chicken burgers in Brighton. Their modern approach to spicing up simple chicken really stands out with their expert craftsmanship. They offer a fresh take on chicken burgers, featuring bold flavours like buffalo, Maggie mayo, salt and pepper, mango habanero, and Korean kimchi.

The Mango Habanero burger combines hot honey, slaw, and pineapple, creating the perfect balance of sweet and savoury all stuffed between a toasted bun. The sweet pineapple and slaw help tone down the heat of the habanero chili, making it a truly sensational combination.

For something simpler, their House Burger’ is a must-try, with pickles, cheese, and house sauce. It may be simple, but it’s incredibly effective, with the house sauce perfectly coating the burger for a delightful treat – especially when paired with a pint from their bar.

The Patriot Burger is their bestseller, and for just £3.50, you can double up on patties for the ultimate indulgence. This burger includes a beef patty, smoked bacon, cheddar, pickles, onion, baby gem, and BBQ sauce. The smoky BBQ sauce pairs perfectly with the smoked bacon, creating a delicious sweet and salty flavour.

A personal favorite is ‘The Jackpot’, which includes a beef patty, chorizo, black pudding, blue cheese, and BBQ sauce. While black pudding may be off-putting to some, it creates the ultimate meaty combination, especially when paired with the chorizo. The flavour is truly phenomenal.

  1. The Rock*Ola burger bar on Tidy st has a bigger burger by far! Open on Friday evenings from 6 to nine. It weighs in over a kilogram before you add the fries!
