4 Ways to Deal with Winter/Autumn Boredom

It’s winter at the moment, which can make living by the sea pretty inconvenient. As this is Britain and not Marbella or Rio De Janeiro, outside activities are pretty limited. It’s freezing, wet and that relaxing Summer sea breeze? It’s grown up and it hates everyone.

As a result, things can get pretty boring for the next couple months, and it won’t let up till Spring time. If you can’t take another night of watching substandard Netflix originals, then read on for a few indoor activities you can enjoy without braving the cold.

Indoor Climbing/Bouldering

Are you an outdoorsy type but hate the cold? Or do you want to get some exercise but want something a little more exciting than working out? If either of those questions apply, then indoor Rock Climbing is the perfect new hobby to get you through the depressing winter days.

There are multiple indoor climbing locations around Brighton, with various different difficulty climbing walls to get stuck into.  Does all that tedious and uncomfortable  safety gear put you off? Then why not try Bouldering? Bouldering is a less intense version of a climbing wall, but without any safety gear, meaning you’re good to go the minute you turn up.

There are  safety mats to protect you should you fall, so there’s no danger in hurting yourself, and it’s not a hazardous height to fall from with the added protection of the safety mat, making it perfect for people interested in rock climbing and starting out, or if you’ve done rock climbing and felt to restricted in movement by all the harnesses.

With a few great indoor Karting locations around Brighton and its surrounding area, there’s plenty of tracks to master. With racing overalls provided, you’ll also be nice and toasty in a seldom advertised bonus feature.

It’s perfect for those with a competitive streak without an outlet, as you can race against others or beat your best time, if you get to know the track well enough why not try to get the fastest time of the month? Or if you get real serious become immortalised as the track record holder.
