The Brighton Marathon Weekend 2025

The Brighton Marathon is a popular UK event attracting many visitors to our sunny seaside city.

The race will take place over two days, starting at 8am on Sunday, April 6, 2025 at Preston Park.

There are three distances to choose from: one mile, 10K, or a marathon (26.2). The 26.2mile marathon is priced at £69.99 and the Brighton and Hove 10k is priced at £39.99 . The race will take runners through the city and along the seafront, passing key landmarks such as the Palace Pier and the Royal Pavilion.

Founded in 2010, the event has grown to become the UK’s third-largest marathon. The Brighton and Hove 10K was introduced in 2014 and is held the same day as the Brighton Marathon.

Brighton Marathon Course Overview:

  • Start: Preston Park
  • Finish: Hove Lawn
  • Terrain: Road
  • Elevation gain: 447 feet
  • What’s provided: Event photography, timed results, finisher’s T-shirt and medal (optional), tracking app.
  • Facilities: Toilets, drinks stations, free beach village, parent and child space, multi faith prayer space, bike parking (available on first-come, first-served basis) and sanitary products available.
  • How to get there: Short walk from Brighton station

how you can get involved

You can volunteer on the marathon route, offering water and handing out medals. You can also help cater to sustainability by working as a recycling volunteer, ensuring that waste is separated and ready to be recycled.
