Meet Bird & Blend, an award-winning tea company founded in Brighton, with stores in the North Laine: Gardner Street and on the seafront in the Kings Road Arches.
What is Bird & Blend for anyone who doesn’t know?
Bird & Blend is an award-winning, independent UK tea company founded by Krisi and Mike, known for their innovative, fun, and creative loose-leaf tea blends like “Rhubarb and Custard” and “Chocolate Digestive,” aiming to spread happiness and reimagine tea with a focus on unique ingredients, sustainability, and great customer experiences from their Brighton origins to numerous stores and international presence.
What is your connection to Brighton?
We started in Brighton! Our very first store was here, and for years, so was our Head Office. We are now based in Worthing but still consider our origins to be in Brighton.
What is the latest news from Bird & Blend and what’s coming up?
We just opened our 30th store! Our newest store is in Windsor, and we have locations all the way from Edinburgh to Exeter. Keep an eye out for all the fun things we get up to in our Lanes store, feel free to pop in to try some of our free samples too.
What do you love about Brighton?
Brighton is such a creative and unique place. We love having our origins here, as we like to experiment and innovate just like Brighton. We are also extremely proud to be a safe haven for minorities on whatever high street we are on, which feels a bit like a little bit of Brighton wherever we are.
