If you are a student starting university this September, you may be wondering what events are taking place over the next few weeks. Freshers events are a great way to make new friends, ease into university life and get accustomed to the city you will be studying in.
It can be overwhelming to keep track of all the fresher event emails alongside your enrolment, timetable and welcome emails. For this reason, we have created a guide to the top fresher events to attend and what you can expect.

Attend the Freshers Toga Party at Pryzm‘s EPIK Wednesdays night. This freshers event will take place at Pryzm’s nightclub on Wednesday, September 24, from 10.30am to 4pm.
Expect a big student party with on stage Olympics, confetti storms and ancient giveaways. If you don’t have toga, just wrap yourself in a bed sheet and call it a night! Student ID is required, but a student can bring two non-student guests.
Expect £3.50 singles, £4.50 doubles, three beers or ciders for £10 and three shots or bombs for £10. Be sure to check out the Pryzm website for more information.

freshers tropical moving in party

Check out the Freshers Tropical Moving in Party at The Venue on September 26, 2025. The event will take place at the Student Union bar near Brighton University, from 7pm to 11pm.
The moving in party will bring all those on the Moulsecoomb campus together over energising RedBull. The first 50 people will get a free tropical Rumbull, which is a delicious fusion of rum and tropical Red Bull.
The Venue will be themed as a Summer Paradise so be sure to wear your best Hawaiian shirts and beach wear. Drink prices will be student friendly, with rum double and mixer priced at £4.95, Stella bottle at 2.95, a six fireball shots tray priced at £12 and red and white bottles at £15 each.

Brighton Freshers Fair will take place on October 1, 2025, from 11am to 4pm. The event will be held at Brighton University’s Falmer campus and is free of charge.
Book your space now on the student union website as places are limited. Throughout this fair, you can expect to learn about your student union, the different societies, sports teams and even grab some freebies from external partners.
Learn about everything university life has to offer and check out the discounts from top brands. There is something for everyone so come on down and check out the sports teams or even make new friends.

freshers unleashed Brighton Bar Hop

Get introduced into Brighton’s bar and pub scene with Freshers Bar Hop. This freshers event will take place on September 29, from 7pm to 11pm and tickets are priced from £8. Gain access to Brighton’s best bars in one night ending with a free entry to Pryzm nightclub before midnight.

A pool tournament at The Venue is another special freshers event taking place on September 29. The tournament will be at the Student Union bar, from 6pm to 11pm. Whether your a pool expert or a complete beginner, the tournament is open to everyone.
Get ready to compete or simply enjoy an evening out with new friends. Register at the bar at 6pm and expect exciting giveaways for the winners, as well as surprises for the rest.
Drinks are priced at £3.95, providing you with a financially friendly night out with peers.
