Brighton’s comedy scene is buzzing, and this month brings an incredible mix of local talent and national heavy-hitters. Across two November weekends at the Secret Comedy Club Brighton at Artista, audiences can catch everything from musical comedy and science-meets-stand-up for kids, to acclaimed Fringe acts and award-winning TV comics. Friday, November 21 – 7:30pm

Katie Green
One of the most exciting new voices in UK comedy, San Francisco–born Katie Green blends British–Salvadoran roots with sharp observational humour. A Funny Women Finalist and Pleasance Comedy Reserve pick, she’s performed at major US festivals including HBO’s Women in Comedy and LaughFest.
Dane Baptiste
A decade-defining comic and the first Black British comedian nominated for Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Fringe. Creator and star of BBC Three’s SunnyD, host of Live at the Apollo, and the mind behind hit podcast Dane Baptiste Questions Everything.
Alex Kitson
A standout of the Bristol scene, Kitson is known for smart writing, warm charisma, and sell-out local shows. Named one of Bristol’s “best rising comics,” he fronts two of the city’s top comedy nights and continues to win praise for his sharp, engaging sets.
James Danielewski
Brighton-based and fast-rising, Danielewski won the One To Watch Award at Brighton Fringe 2023 and has since added Komedia New Comedy Award runner-up and LGBTQ+ New Comedian of the Year finalist to his CV.

Ed Kear
A Bristol-born writer, director and comedian with blockbuster credits (The Batman, Venom, Cruella, Deadpool & Wolverine). A regular on Ghosts and Here We Go, Kear recently directed his first feature film and continues to be one of comedy’s major breakout talents.
Nick Everritt
Known for deadpan, understated delivery, Everritt has earned acclaim across London and Kent. BBC New Comedy Award shortlisted, South Coast Comedian of the Year finalist, and multi-time champion at clubs including The Comedy Store and Up The Creek.
Gbemi Oladipo
A fast-emerging voice with sharp, high-energy sets blending personal storytelling and social insight. Seen on Live at the Apollo, Comedy Central and at festivals including Edinburgh Fringe.

South Coast Comedian runner-up and regular at the UK’s biggest clubs. Has appeared on BBC New Comedy Awards (Radio 2 & Radio 4 Extra) and supported touring comics nationwide.
JoJo Maberly
Award-winning musical comedian, Best Newcomer at the 2023 Musical Comedy Awards, BBC New Comedy Awards Regional Finalist, and winner of the 2025 Bristol Comedy Competition. Known for clever musical sets and her character comedy.
Laura Quinn Goh
London-based Singaporean comic with acclaimed festival shows and TV appearances (STV). Finalist at West End New Act and Clap Back to Reality, her debut hour—about a relationship with someone on death row—sold out internationally.
Edd Hedges
Winner of So You Think You’re Funny? at just 19, Hedges mixes awkward charm with witty storytelling. A regular on BBC Radio and stages worldwide, and MC for Just The Tonic and Glee.

Jon Long
Cheery, sharp musical comedy from an environmental educator-turned-comic. His acclaimed debut show Planet Killing Machine led to BBC Radio 4’s Extinction Compendium and Carbon Lifeforms. Tour support for Chris McCausland.
Tim Renkow
Returning with his signature dark, uncompromising humour (see above).
Bella Hull
One of the UK’s brightest young comics, with credits including Stand Up for Live Comedy, The Stand Up Sketch Show, and Comedy Central. Her Fringe shows Babycakes and Piggie were critical hits, and she has supported Phil Wang, Russell Howard and Paul Chowdhry.
