Please tell us about your show:

Our show is called Destination: ‘Old Hag’ – the tagline is ‘A tale of life backstage before going on stage. Told by witches. With music’ – and it is (possibly) the world’s first Situation-Operatic-Comedy! Come and join the Ladies of the Chorus backstage as they get ready for opening night of Verdi’s Macbetto (in which the Ladies are the witches!) and hear them chart their 20+ years in the world of opera with humour, heart and a sprinkling of live opera singing.

Who is your show for?

Anyone who is interested in live singing, opera, comedy, a bit of drama, the lives of women… in fact, the show is for everyone who likes live performance – except maybe younger children, not because the show is full of swear words or we get naked (no-one wants to see that), it’s just they might find mention of the menopause a bit boring!

Why should people come and see it?

People should come and see Destination: ‘Old Hag’ because we believe our 55-minute story is a truly unique experience – even in the wide-ranging world of the Brighton Fringe!

Have you performed at the Fringe before?

No, we haven’t performed at the Brighton Fringe before and we’re very excited!

What do you love about Brighton Fringe?

It seems like Brighton Fringe has no end of different stories to see – something at which we know we’ll feel at home!

What do you love about Brighton?

So much! The Lanes, the sea, the locals … but we’re mostly looking forward to having takeaway fish & chips on the beach after our show!

Are there any other shows you are excited to see?

We’re at Squeak @ The Rotunda and all their shows look great! If we were taking kids, we’d go and see Who Stole My Hammer? and for something a little more grown up, we’d go and see Glenda & Rita: Live.

Destination: ‘Old Hag’ is on at Rotunda Theatre Brighton: Squeak on May 10 at 2.15pm.
