Edinburgh Fringe Comes to Brighton’s Komedia

If you can’t make it to the Edinburgh Fringe this year, don’t worry – Komedia Brighton is bringing the magic to you.

From June 7 to July 26, Komedia’s beloved Edinburgh Fringe Preview Season returns, offering audiences a chance to catch brand-new comedy before it hits the big stage in Edinburgh. With over 40 comedians performing work-in-progress shows, it’s a unique opportunity to experience some of the UK’s top comedy talent – and rising stars – in an intimate, up-close setting.

The season promises a vibrant mix of the weird and wonderful, from musical comedy and character work to theatre, drag, cabaret, and sharp stand-up. Expect everything from reimagined Elton John hits to an absurd deep-dive into the world of multi-level marketing.

Season Highlights Include:

  • Alison Spittle – Fat Btch (July 6)
    Tackling misogyny, classism, sexuality, death and M&Ms, Spittle delivers a hilarious and bitingly honest show.

    The Taskmaster star and comedy firebrand returns with a brand-new hour of bold, sharp-edged humour.
Ahir Shah

  • Ahir Shah (July 9)
    Winner of the 2023 Edinburgh Comedy Award, Shah brings his signature blend of political insight, philosophical musing, and smart gags.
  • Funny Women Edinburgh Previews (July 12 and 26)
    Featuring a brilliant lineup across two evenings, with acts including:
    • Katie Pritchard, award-winning comedian and multi-hyphenate performer.
    • Rachel Fairburn, star of Live at the Apollo and co-host of All Killa No Filla.
    • Sara Barron, co-host of hit podcast They Like to Watch.
    • Chloe Petts, a fast-rising star known for her football lout persona and sharp comedic timing.
  • Rob Auton & Joe Kent-Walters (July 15)
    Auton brings his poetic, five-star Fringe pedigree alongside newcomer award-winner Kent-Walters.
  • Isobel Rogers – How to Be Content (July 23)
    With guitar in hand, Rogers explores modern dilemmas from baby timelines to therapy dynamics.
