Gaza: How People In Brighton Can Support Palestinians

If you want to support humanitarian aid getting to people starving in Gaza, Palestine, here’s how people in Brighton can help.

On Sunday, August 31 people in Brighton gathered in solidarity with the with the Flotilla Sumud setting sail. In a moving show of solidarity, crowds sang songs around the fire and across the sea and launched origami boats into the water. Get involved with Liberation Choir.

Seagulls Against Apartheid campaigners also gave out cards at the Brighton game. The group are “supporters of Brighton and Hove Albion who oppose racism, apartheid, and genocide by the state of Israel”.

Palestine Events & Fundraisers

September 13: Campaign group Brighton and Hove PSC have issued a Save The Date for a march commemorating and honouring Palestinian healthcare workers killed and imprisoned in Gaza, and “highlight Israel’s systematic annihilation of Gaza’s healthcare system. More info here.

September 28: 25 Miles Across The Downs For Palestine: Fundraisers will be walking 25 miles across the Downs, the length of the Gaze strip to raise money for Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) and for The Sameer Project. Find out more and sponsor them here.

Revolting Threads: A Brighton PSC member has launched Revolting Threads, a design collective selling t-shirts, tote bags & more, with artwork by Palestinian/Middle Eastern artists and designers, to raise money for The Sameer Project.

Disabled People 4 Palestine have designed a guide to actions you can take from your bed. Designed with disabled people in mind, it is also useful for anyone who is busy, has low capacity or concerned about publicly supporting work due to job pressures.
