Grace Petrie Brings New Show To Brighton Komedia

Brighton is in for a treat this autumn as acclaimed folk singer-songwriter and comedian Grace Petrie brings her brand-new show This Is No Time to Panic! to Komedia on Wednesday, October 1.

After 15 years of writing fiery protest anthems that have inspired audiences and ruffled the feathers of the right-wing press, Petrie is fusing her trademark political folk with razor-sharp stand-up comedy for a night of music, humour, and just a touch of existential crisis.

The new tour follows the huge success of her debut stand-up show Butch Ado About Nothing, which sold out venues nationwide and earned rave reviews. This Is No Time to Panic! promises another fresh hour of original songs, storytelling, and witty social commentary – perfect for anyone in need of a laugh in bleak political times.

Petrie, who has graced stages from Glastonbury to Latitude Festival, topped folk charts with her 2021 album Connectivity, and is a regular voice on BBC Radio 4’s The Now Show and hit podcast The Guilty Feminist, has long been celebrated as one of the UK’s most compelling and compassionate performers. With this new show, she proves she can be deeply political, disarmingly personal, and properly funny all at once.
