If you are visiting Brighton this summer and looking for something to do, the new Hove beach park is worth visiting.
Even though the park is still being developed, there are areas that are open to the public. The wheeled sports area is a big hit with residents. After all, there’s no better way to spend a nice summer day then a competitive tennis session with friends.

Hove Beach Park is set to cover from Hove Lagoon up to the King Alfred Leisure Centre. The park is accessible to everyone, containing ramps, handrails, lighting across the main paths, and public toilets.
Hove park facilities include:
- an outdoor sports hub with a café and terrace
- gardens
- wheeled sports areas, including a skate plaza, pump track and roller area
- tennis and padel courts
- a sand sports area
- croquet and bowls lawns
- improvements to the facilities at Hove Lagoon

Hove Beach Park has four padel courts that are open for booking. These padel courts are operated by Games4Padel and make for a fun activity during the holidays. There are memberships available for only £5 a month and private or group lessons. A six week fast track tennis training course is priced at £37.50 per person. The course is on Sundays at 11:30am for one hour and are for adults aged 18 and over.
Padel rackets can be hired and balls can be bought at the on-site pavilion. Courts are open from 8am until 10pm, Monday to Friday. Tennis sessions are 90 minutes and prices start from £13.35.

Rackets holiday camps
Game4Padel is hosting a summer Racket Holiday Camp for kids aged 6 to 11 at Hove Beach Park. Kids will get to enjoy a range of sporty activities, such as tennis, padel, pickleball and table tennis, as well as making new friends.
The camp will take place during the summer holidays and will be running from Tuesdays to Thursdays at 10am to 4pm. Half day options are also available. Camp sessions are £39 per day and £115 per week. The holiday camp starts from July 8 and is running up until the end of August. All sport levels are welcome and no tennis experience is needed.

Babble is Hove Beach Park’s very own café. Serving breakfast, drinks and high quality, locally sourced menu options, Babble is a must-visit food spot after a day in the park. Expect freshly baked pastries, brunch, and rich coffee. Their popular breakfast options include Turkish eggs, sausage, bacon and egg breakfast baps and their buddha bowls. Pair your breakfast with a creamy matcha latte for a great start to your morning.
Babble also offers lunch options including tacos, burgers and steak. There is also a kids menu catering to little appetites. On sunny days, Babble provides a BBQ special with joints of meat, vegetables, and house made sauces. Wash it all down with Babble’s drink selection, including cocktails, spritzes, wines, cocktails and smoothies.
There is lots to do at Hove Beach park and even more to come. Expect sports areas, tennis courts, the Hove Lagoon, easterly gardens and a sand sports centre.
