Must See Event: Midland and Manani headline at Patterns New Years Eve party!

Despite the glamour and importance placed on New Year’s Eve in the media for decades, for most New Year’s eve is a simple family/house get together, consisting of staying in and watching mediocre light entertainment. Too often New Year’s Eve is an event enjoyed by proxy, watching others celebrate the dawn of a new year. But… It Need not be that way!

Patterns New Years Eve party is a chance to celebrate the death of 2022, without having to sit through 4 hours of Jools Holland as he is once again re-animated for his yearly duty.

Boasting what will surely be 6 of the greatest DJ’s to have graced Brighton, with trailblazing newcomer, Manami supporting the peerless Midland. Manami alone for me should be considered a coup for this event, and would confidently be the main attraction at most clubs. Yet attracting a wildly successful name such as Midland is surely a guarantee that this will be a damn good New Year’s eve and absolutely not one to stay home for.

Of course, talent is half the battle, you need a great venue to go along with it. Situated just opposite the Pier, it’s a fantastic venue inside and out and features two floors; the ground floor is the perfect alternative for those more inclined to get their groove on. Trusted regulars Wildblood and Queenie will be dishing out some funky Disco classics. Later, Changing Currents will be doling out some classic Uk Garage, House, and of course, some more Funky staples throughout the night.

Advertised as a “safe space for Britain’s Underground Music culture” you won’t find a better club in Brighton. With sonic experience the floors main priority, ‘The Basement‘ offers a habitat you can truly lose yourself in. There’s no better environment for disciples of bass. Naturally, if Midland is headlining, the walls are going to be bouncing. Lastly, the very capable Kilig will be on Closing duties; having worked with names such as Saoirse, Ben UFO and Call Super, you won’t be going home early.

Tickets are on sale for £22, which whilst more than your typical night out is a bargain considering the lineup. Going from 8 pm- 5am, and a lineup of Djs that would easily cost three times the ticket price were you to see them individually, it’s absolutely worth the cost.

Any night out at Patterns would easily make for a great way to end the year, but a night as special as this would be fitting to end the century with. So treat yourself, it’s been a hard year for most, but there’s no reason not to end it with a bang.
