Namo To Open A New Thai Restaurant in Brighton

Namo is set to open a new restaurant location at 24 Ship Street, Brighton. This restaurant will be separate to The Eagle Pub and will open as a full service restaurant.

Namo will operate under a concept of modern Thai dining, providing luxury at affordable prices.

Namo is currently preparing to open with renovations under way and interior decorating taking place. With bright blue and yellow décor, the restaurant highlights the bold flavours that will be available upon opening.

In Thai culture, Namo is spoken in prayers and blessings. It is a word associated with respect and gratitude as well as care. The restaurant name Namo reflects the heart staff put into their food honouring Thai tradition.

Bookie Mitchell is a popular figure who has ran numerous Thai food residencies at pubs including The Hare and Hounds, Sidewinder and The Eagle Pub.

Mitchell planned to launch her solo restaurant project Namo, providing fresh tasty plates and a welcoming atmosphere once you walk through the doors.

The namo menu will include modern Thai dining made for sharing but will also delve deeper with dishes from the North, where founder Mitchell grew up. This new and improved menu will feature flavours Mitchell discovered on her travels and unique dishes from Thailand that you may have not tried before.

Each Namo plate will tell a story, from childhood experiences to late nights on the streets of Bangkok. Visitors can expect seasonal, bold meals made with heart and care.

While an exact opening date has not been set, be sure to check Namo’s Instagram page for updates, sneak peaks and behind the scene moments on the restaurant’s opening. There may also be a few early tastings before opening day.
