Queer as F*ck Cabaret featured for one night only at Brighton Fringe 2025 and it was an unforgettable, hilarious and sexy night of the very finest acts across the UK, as well as local Brighton legends. Hosted by the deliciously-extra Lily Snatchdragon, we enjoyed genuinely jaw-dropping burlesque, hoop-work, aerial performances and so much more.
The Venue
Revel Puck Circus has arrived to Brighton Fringe 2025, based at The Leve, until June w. Open every day from 11am, the Circus Yard is hosting an array of family-friendly circus and storytelling events, immersive theatre performances and stunningly sexy late-night cabaret. The Circus Yard is home to two impressive venues: Big Puck, a 500-capacity Big Top tent, with tiered audience seating, and Little Puck, a 200-capacity Big Top.
Outside, a food truck served up Mexican street food, offering nachos, tacos, quesadillas and burritos with toppings like chipotle-lemon chicken, tequila-bbq pork, refried beans and roasted squash, and bbq jackfruit, all served with salsa, cheese and sour cream. For something to sip alongside, the PucksBar offers outdoor covered seating, including vintage sofas, under a glitterball and fairy lights.
The Vibe
The atmosphere was high-octane from the very start, with a fully-packed stadium, smoke and lights building up the drama. Lily Snatchdragon only added to this, with stunning vocals, sass and sharp crowd-work, as well as her own sensational routines. Honorable mentions must go to the nonchalantly naked stage technician, running the sound desk and strutting their stuff with equal aplomb.
The eclectic cast of performers included Brighton’s Tayris Mongardi, showcasing splits, cartwheels and a fierce drag performance; Dad, who proved that DIY can be sexy with a hilarious routine involving toys, tools and a tape measure; and Nora Ireland’s jaw-dropping, graceful and capitaving hair-hanging performance.
Symoné, Guiness World Record holder, combined high-heels, roller-skating and hula-hooping with electrifying success. Equally dazzling was Tyrone Herlihy, demonstrating unfathomable strength, grace and poise in an incredible aerial acrobatic routine with rhinestone-studded silk, and Bettie Bombshell – a world-class performer voted number 11 worldwide in Burlesque. She dazzled with delightfully devilish burlesque performances, including whip-cracking which was both sexy and terrifying.
The Verdict
Queer as F*ck Cabaret was a truly spectacular evening, with some of the very best performances you’ll find in the cabaret scene. I would go again in a heartbeat, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this to anyone.
