Dec 3 to 21: The Gift

The Gift is an immersive midwinter feast-meets-performance where audiences co-create an evening of live music, playful cabaret and shared experiences. Inspired by Theatre of the Senses, Burning Man, and Berlin’s Social Muscle Club, each night unfolds differently as guests choose their own adventure of feasting, creating, giving and receiving. Expect food from local makers, unreserved cabaret seating and a uniquely communal celebration of the absurdity and wonder of being alive.

Dec 5: Sofar Sounds – Christmas Church show

Experience an intimate night of live music as three exceptional acts perform in one of Brighton’s beautiful churches, making full use of the venue’s stunning natural acoustics. Taking place on Friday December 5, doors open at 7.30pm with the show beginning at 8pm. The event is hosted in The Lanes, with the exact address revealed 36 hours beforehand; the nearest station is Brighton. Please note that latecomers may be held at the door until a suitable break in the performance.

Founded to create more opportunities for women in Shakespeare, The Whole Pack is touring across the UK this winter with their daring, ensemble-driven productions.

Paper Daisy Events brings the Brighton Festive Makers Fair to Wagner Hall for an entire weekend of Christmas shopping, creativity and community. Taking place on Saturday December 13 and Sunday December 14, the fair transforms the central Brighton venue, including its magical Fig Tree Garden, into a coourful hub of independent makers, artists and small-batch producers. Dec 21: Magicada Reveal

Brighton’s much-loved winter tradition, Burning the Clocks, will not take place this year. But while the parade, performances, fireworks and beach bonfire are on pause, the spirit of the event is very much alive.

On Sunday December 21, Same Sky will unveil Magicada, a striking new large-scale lantern sculpture created by artist Nikki Gunson, giving the city a powerful glimpse into the future of Burning the Clocks and the theme for its much-anticipated return in 2026.
