With a rich history spanning over 200 years – starting life as the Prince Regent’s stables and riding house – Brighton Dome provides an extraordinary space in which to bring the arts alive.
Every year, the venue presents and produces over 600 events spanning music, theatre, dance, comedy, literature, visual arts, film, digital and more. The events vary in price, with many being completely free.
In addition to its year-round program, Brighton Dome also acts as one of the many venues hosting the largest annual arts festival in England, the Brighton Festival. This internationally acclaimed festival is held every May.
Brighton Dome has several bars and restaurants to enjoy including Redroaster, the Gallery Bar, the Festival Bar and the Brighton Dome Foyer. Redroaster at Brighton Dome features a covered and heated private terrace overseeing the Royal Pavilion Gardens, along with al-fresco dining on New Road and a contemporary-style restaurant within Brighton Dome itself.
Guests can indulge in delicious food served all day, enjoyed with a selection of wines curated by food writer and wine consultant, Zeren Wilson, Redroaster’s organic coffee and award-winning cocktails.
The Foyer offers a vibrant and bright atmosphere, with high glass ceilings and open open-plan layout. It opens 45 minutes before evening performances and serves teas, coffees and snacks in the alcohol-free bar located within the Foyer.
Likewise, you can immerse yourself in the newly refurbished Gallery Bar, which draws inspiration and decor style from its extensive history as a riding house. The Gallery Bar can be visited during the day from Thursday to Saturday and it also opens 45 minutes before a performance in the evening.
The final bar included is the Festival Bar, which celebrates and showcases the extensive history behind the art venue, with the wallpaper drawing inspiration from the poster advertising the first-ever Brighton Festival in 1967.
If you’re looking for fun and exciting events hosted in the beautiful and contemporary spot situated in the Royal Pavilion Estate, look no further than the Brighton Dome. With a wide variety of events to choose from throughout the year and a plethora of bars, foyers and restaurants to enjoy, you won’t want to miss out on a trip to this amazing arts venue.
