BrewDog Brighton On Grand Parade Closes Suddenly

Brighton’s pub, BrewDog, recently closed on July 22, 2025, giving their staff just three days notice.

BrewDog’s Brighton location was at the Grand Parade, found on the corner of Kingswood Street. The pub opened around 10 years ago in August 2015 and proved to be a valued part of Brighton’s community.

the story behind BrewDog’s closures

BrewDog’s CEO, James Taylor, put out a statement on the shareholders’ forum explaining that the closures were due to a necessary strategic review.

The branch had been facing challenges in the UK such as rising costs, increased regulation, and economic pressures. BrewDog was also struggling to find a way to make their pubs work successfully due to their size, location and other limiting factors.

The company felt that these closures reflect a more focused strategy and a rationalisation of their bar footprint. This will allow them to look for new ways to focus on BrewDog’s long term and profitable growth.

During the closures, BrewDog worked hard to minimise the impact on their staff and have looked to redeploy many affected team members across the BrewDog network. They provided one to one meetings with each member of staff that was being made redundant and offered support during the transition.

Although these closures are unfortunate, there are still other BrewDog pub locations available in the UK for you to visit.

Address: 52-54 Grand Parade, Brighton BN2 9QA
