An IKEA store is set to open in Brighton on August 14, 2025. The store will be located in Churchill Square and the opening will take place from 10am.
On Saturday, August 9, 2025, IKEA hosted a pre-opening day at their Churchill Square store. Visitors were able to be among the very first to explore the brand-new Ikea store before it opened to the public. The store had decorated room displays, tasty Swedish treats, and special surprises that they prepared for all those visiting.
The pre-opening event was free but registration was required on their website.

Those who had been a victim of chip theft in Brighton, were able to get some potato-based justice. To celebrate the opening of IKEA’s new Brighton store, they offered anyone who had been a victim of chip theft the chance to claim a free portion of chips.
From August 9 to 10, those who had fallen victim to chip theft on Brighton Beach, by the city’s notorious seagulls, could visit IKEA’s friendly insurance kiosk and claim a free portion of chips. Attendees had to sign up to the IKEA Family to claim their free chips. This event took place from 12pm to 6pm.
