Wagamama Brighton has introduced a new platform called ‘Food is Life’ alongside a summer menu update at its Brighton restaurants.
The ‘Food is Life’ campaign aims to position food as more than just fuel, highlighting its role in connection, comfort, creativity, and culture. This initiative represents a renewed focus on offering food suitable for a variety of occasions, described as ‘Wagamama when.’

The updated menu includes new dishes such as pho noodle soups with a citrusy yuzu broth, served with konjac noodles and options including chicken thigh, hoki fish, or king oyster mushrooms. These are designed to offer lighter choices for warmer weather.
In addition, Wagamama has added a build-your-own donburi bowl concept, allowing diners to select proteins, toppings, and a cauliflower ‘rice’ base as an alternative to traditional rice. This reflects a growing trend towards personalised and flexible dining options.
Other additions include summer salads such as a sweet chilli salad with caramelised chicken or tofu, and a pad thai-inspired salad, aiming to provide fresher, lighter meal choices.
Steve Mangleshot, Global Executive Chef at Wagamama, said: ““We’ve always been about doing things differently, from our communal benches to our open kitchens. ‘Food is Life’ is about reminding everyone that food is more than just something to eat — it’s about feelings, connection, and culture. Our new menu offers Brighton diners fresh, nourishing flavours perfect for any moment.”
The brand has also introduced new non-alcoholic drinks, including a spicy Saffron Picante and a Strawberry Spritz, alongside a dessert option of miso caramel banana bread served with vanilla ice cream and toffee sauce.
The campaign’s launch is accompanied by a marketing initiative called ‘Wagamama when,’ which focuses on the various occasions and moments when people choose to eat at Wagamama.
Emma Colquhoun, Chief Marketing & Commercial Officer, said: “‘Food is Life’ is a fresh chapter for Wagamama, celebrating the moments food brings people together. In a city like Brighton, where community and creativity thrive, we’re proud to offer a menu and atmosphere that feels authentic and inclusive.”
