As part of the menu, you’ll be able to share 7 dishes, which include Guacamole & Smoky Sonoran Hummus (the hummus is one of my favourite dishes to have when I visit Wahaca) which is perfect for dipping with tortilla chips. The Beef Gringa Tacos come filled with slow-cooked beef with grilled cheese and salsa fresca. Yum! Expect savoury and sweet flavours from the Plantain & Chorizo Bites. Let’s not forget a classic Wahaca favourite, Sweet Potato & Feta Taquito.
As part of the menu, you’ll also receive Crispy Cauliflower Bites and Grilled Tenderstem Broccoli as sides. And no meal would be complete without a dessert and there’s nothing better than crispy doughnuts served with rich chocolate sauce and dulce de leche— that’s right, the dessert of choice for this set menu is Christmas Churros. This alone should be enough to convince you to try the festive set menu at Wahaca!
They even have a vegetarian option available, which allows everyone to embrace the flavours of Mexico at Wahaca this December. Beyond the set menu, two festive specials make an appearance on their menu. The Turkey Almond Mole Tacos, inspired by co-founder Thomasina Miers’ travels in Yucatán, are filled with roast turkey bathed in a rich mole almendrado sauce and a blend of toasted almonds, achiote, and chile de árbol. The second special on the menu is the Butternut Squash Tamal, a steamed corn dumpling filled with gently spiced squash “caponata” and served with creamy whipped ricotta.
Let’s not forget the selection of festive drinks, including Gran Centenario Tequila (a premium tequila perfect for sipping neat or in a cocktail) and Cazcabel Coffee Tequila (a unique blend of tequila and coffee, ideal for after-dinner drinks), which are on offer this December and will pair perfectly with any of the festive dishes.
