Christmas Carol Concert at The Royal Pavilion

There is no more perfectly picturesque setting for a night of Christmas carols than the beautiful and iconic Royal Pavilion. At this decadent concert, you will be treated to stunning renditions of Christmas carols from two exceptional Sussex-based choirs, in the equally stunning Music Room in the palace.

During the interval of spectacular performances from Brighton Chamber Choir and Heber Opera, you will be invited to retire to the beautiful Banqueting Room to enjoy a glass of prosecco and a mince pie.

This show takes place on Thursday 14th December at 7:30 pm (doors 7 pm) and is priced at £35, or £30 for members, including an interval drink.

Round Hill Society Community Carols

For those who’d like to get involved in the Christmas caroling, and help to support a good cause, why not join the Community Carols run by Round Hill Society? Meeting at the Roundhill Pub at 6 pm on Monday 18th December, everyone is welcome to spread some festive cheer and raise money for the local foodbank.

If you’d prefer not to sing, you’re still welcome to get stuck in by volunteering to help carry buckets, take donations and knock on doors. And of course, if you live nearby, on Princes Road, Mayo Road, Richmond Road, Princes Crescent, Belton Road or Round Hill Road/Street, you may be lucky enough to get treated to this show and can help raise money for this fabulous cause.

Christmas Carols by Candlelight In Brighton

For a truly traditional carol service, Carols by Candlelight at the beautiful St. George’s Church in Kemptown is not one to be missed. Featuring Brighton Consort and the Choir of St. George’s Church, this is sure to be a magical evening to enjoy the stunning acoustics of the venue and the beautifully Christmassy choral music.

The event takes place on Wednesday 13th December, and guests are welcome to enjoy a drink and a mince pie from 17:45 before the service begins at 18:30. Free to enter, donations are greatly appreciated and welcome, to support patients at Royal Sussex County Hospital and St George’s Church. Guests will also have the opportunity to add a star to the Christmas Tree in memory of a loved one.

Brighton Swing Choir

Taking place at Brighton & Hove Sports & Social Club, on Friday 15th December at 7 pm, this Christmas show from Brighton Swing Choir is sure to bring all the festive fun you can handle.

After support from fabulous local performer Julia Traser, Brighton Swing Choir will blow your Christmas socks off with festive classics. After the show, you will also have the chance to get stuck in yourself, with Karaoke with Garry to round off the night.

Add that to a well-stocked bar, and a charity fundraiser to help Brighton’s homeless, and you’ve got yourself a perfect Christmas tunes show. Entry is just £5 per person, or £2 for members, payable by card on the door.

Grace Eyre Christmas Carol Concert

Since the festive season is all about giving, the Grace Eyre Christmas Carol Concert is the perfect choice, raising money to support people with a learning disability and/or autistic people to live independently and follow their goals.

Taking place on Thursday 14th December 2023, in addition to Christmas performances, the evening will offer guests festive refreshments, a range of stalls, and a fantastic raffle. Prizes include prosecco afternoon teas, a kids’ bike, as well as paintballing for 10, a journey on the i360 for two, and festive goodies from local business, such as a coffee bundle from Trading Post Coffee, a festive panettone from Ricci’s Deli and a chocolate yule log from the Real Patisserie.

So head on over to St Nicholas’ Church from 7 pm to 9 pm on 14th December to enjoy the very best in seasonal entertainment, and to support a wonderful cause.
