Cook Stars

The Community Kitchen
Taking place during the school holidays, The Community Kitchen offers fun and educational classes for children aged 7-13. Young cooks can learn essential skills for safe cookery from professional chefs, all while enjoying soft drinks throughout the session, a meal at the end of class and all recipes for the meals created.
Classes on offer include a range of themed events, such as a Valentine’s special on the 13th of February 2024, where young chefs can create decadent truffles and fondant brownies. Sessions run from 09:30 am to 12:00 pm, and are priced at £27.99 per child.

Table Talk Foundation is a food education and hospitality charity, aiming to empower the children of today through access to high-quality food education, an insight into the hospitality industry, and mental, physical and financial support to the local hospitality industry.
Courtesy of this charity, your primary-school-aged chef of any ability can learn from one of Restaurant Interlude’s top chefs at one of the Easter Holiday cooking classes, held at the stunning Leonardslee Lakes and Gardens in Horsham.
Most classes cost just £10 per child, with a 10% discount for Leonardslee members, this is a great value way to give your children a taste of top-class cookery skills in the stunning surroundings of the site. Plus, entry to the garden is included in the child tickets!

Young Cooks Club
For cooking tuition from the comfort of your own home, Young Cooks Club is the go-to choice for you. Initially offering in-person classes in the heart of Brighton, the Young Cooks Club has stayed online since the pandemic, allowing them to offer quality cooking tuition to children and young people in and around Brighton, from their very own kitchens.
These live tuition Zoom sessions offer fun, friendly and expert guidance for your child through every step of the healthy and delicious recipes. Not only that, but classes include the necessary ingredients being delivered (Brighton postcode dependent) to your door, so you don’t even have to go to the shops to prepare!
Classes on Wednesdays run from 4 pm to 5:15 pm and are offered on a Pay What You Can Afford basis, cooking delicious snacks including cheese and herb scones, leek and potato soup, cheese and tomato tarts, pita bread and hummus and carrot cake cupcakes. These are suitable for all abilities aged 7+, with adult supervision required.
Classes on Thursdays from 5 pm to 6:30 pm are suitable for teenagers aged between 13 and 16 years old and are priced at just £10.
