Wafflemeister
Wafflemeister specialises in making authentic Belgian waffles, typically thicker and deeper-pocketed than their American counterpart. Their Brighton branch, located on West Street sits conveniently on the stretch between Brighton train station and the seafront, making it a great stop on your way to, or back from a long walk on Brighton Beach.
Serving Brighton with classic or vegan liege waffles, crepes, thick milkshakes, smoothies, and bubble teas all with a wide variety of flavours and toppings, Wafflemeister caters to all tastebuds and dietary requirements.
Rather than the standard batter, Wafflemeister’s traditional waffles are made with dough using a secret family recipe and baked until crisp on the outside and chewy within. Sweet toppings include chocolate, bananas, ice creams, marshmallows, granolas, and yoghurts.
But, if you’re in the mood for something truly filling, their savoury offerings include combinations like chicken & avocado, halloumi & pesto, and even an all-day breakfast!
Sit in and indulge in a hot satisfying waffle paired with a tea or coffee or make passersby jealous as you walk down the street enjoying a waffle or hot crepe!

Creams
The OG of Britain’s dedicated dessert franchise. Founded in 2008 by Adam Mani and Balal Aqil, Creams Café kickstarted the UK dessert parlour boom. Since their beginning in Southall, London, their recipe for success has been focussing on high-quality ingredients in their products and their gelato is made in the UK using ingredients sourced from Italy and following a traditional Italian process.
Recognised as one of the top ten most loved Eating Out brands in the UK in 2019, 2020 and 2021 by Savanta Research, Creams focuses on fun, colourful, and – of course – tasty desserts from sorbets and gelatos, sundaes, crepes, and cakes.
Their Brighton store on Western Road has plenty of seating with two floors of tables and booths great for larger groups looking to get their sugar fix. Their range of cool gelato sundaes, warming gooey cookie dough, and rotating seasonal specials are sure to give visitors a substantial dopamine rush to help with whizzing through Brighton’s shopping district!

Oui Creparie
Oui Creparie’s traditional French food vans have been popular since owners Judy Bow and Arnold Rose began serving crepes out of a classic Citreon back in 2005. Now, in 2023, Oui Creparie has opened its first permanent location on Brighton’s Grand Parade.
While renovating the property, they found many interesting Georgian period features and items such as a 500-year-old piece of pottery which now sits proudly on the shelving of their lovingly decorated café.
Oui Creparie’s cosy space and décor make it a perfect stop to keep dry from the rain, or take a breather from the summer crowds and enjoy delicious, sweet crepes or savoury galettes which use organic ingredients with a focus on animal and environmental welfare.
Visit Oui Creparie’s peaceful and friendly new location and enjoy a classic crepe Suzette, or funghi galette with a soothing latte or cappuccino!
