The restaurant has a warm, friendly atmosphere and although the main dining area is quite small the tables are not too close together. Had to go for the beef option having read on their website that the beef is sourced from long horn cattle grazed on the sussex downs. It did not disappoint…our steaks arrived to requested pinkness, with a yummy portion of goose fat cooked chips. We managed to squeeze in dessert which was delicious too. The menu is quite short but has something for everyone, even (suprisingly) a veggi option! Excellent wine list too, I will be going back to the Coalshed for seconds.
