Please tell us about your show:

Hello, My name is Treacle and I am a horse. My show is brilliant. It is about Horses, performed by a horse (me),choreographed by a horse and showcases the wide world of the lived experience of the horse. It is immensely powerful, erotic and political. Many humans tend to get aroused, appalled, sick, cry and laugh all at once.  According to the press it is “very funny” and “at times surprisingly repulsive”. Lots of children die in the show.

Who is your show for?

Horses, those who are owned by horses, human beings – but absolutely not children. I hate children. I once bit a childs face off because they looked like an apple. That child can’t ride anymore. You can’t balance a box of ashes on a horse.

Why should people come and see it?

How often have you seen a horse perform Mime and verbatim theatre before?

Have you performed at the Fringe before?

My director, Elf Lyons, has performed multiple times, but for me, a horse, this is the first time.

What do you love about Brighton Fringe?

Brighton is lovely because it is the home of the polyamorous and the vegans, which is how all horses identify. Horses are notoriously open minded.

What do you love about Brighton?

It is so colourful and every single person seems to have a mullet, whether they intend to or not.

Are there any other shows you are excited to see?

No, only my show. No offense but I don’t tend to find humans very funny.
