Life Drawing with Drawversity

There will be a life drawing session open to everyone and all levels of experience at Fine Feather Wellness Hub in Hove on Thursday, February 13. A model will hold poses for between three and 45 minutes with music playing and a tea break in the middle.

The Drawversity figure drawing programme was created with the aim of introducing more Black people and People of Colour to life modelling. Doors open at 6.45 pm for a 7 pm start and a 9 pm finish.

Sofie Aimee & Friends: Galentine’s Gig

If you’re vibing indie music, there’s a Galentine’s Gig on at Artista featuring Sofie Aimee and celebrating other female musicians. Attendees will get a goodie bag. Doors open at 8 pm and the gig runs until 10 pm.

Club night: Secret Valentines

Fancy going out with your pals to get a date in time for Valentine’s? CHALK is putting on a secret admirer experience at its club night from 11 pm this February 13. Attendees will be able to write a Valentine’s note and pop it on the wall or leave an anonymous voice message on a pink love phone for friends or love interests. If it’s self-love or friendship you’re celebrating, then this night promises a night of love-themed tunes and dancing. There are several drink deals.

Cabaret Lab: Love Sick

Burlesque is a great way to mark Galentine’s, IMHO. Entry to this Cabaret Lab event is free with donations gratefully received. Doors will open at 7.30 pm for an 8 pm start and a 10.30 pm finish at Caroline of Brunswick in Brighton.

Gig: Vower at Patterns

Bogan Bingo at Komedia

LUSH Brighton | Bubble & Bond – Valentine’s Event

Seafront Striders

Pub Quiz: Fitz Regent

Let’s get quizzical this Galentine’s! The Fitz Regent has a weekly quiz night from 8 pm to 11 pm every Thursday with a cash prize of £50. Quiz newbies or fanatics are all welcome with different questions to suit all interests and abilities. Rounds include a ‘Spot-the-intro’ music round covering seven decades of pop, guess the mystery voice, missing vowels round and two spot-prize questions where winners get a free drink. There’s a double bill of Galentine’s Day special candle painting sessions at the newly refurbished Dead Wax Social on Friday, February 14. Self Love Festival for women of colour

On Saturday, February 15, there is a Self Love Festival for women of colour at the Brighton Dome. This free event is now in its fifth year and there will be food, yoga, singing, dancing, poetry workshops and much more on offer. Doors open at 9.30 am.
