Globalls Brighton: Aquatica Mini Golf Review

Tucked away at Brighton Marina is Globalls, one of the coolest mini-golf venues you can go to. Home to 3 UV-lit courses, each consisting of 12 holes, you can choose from the themes Zootopia, Aquatica, or Jurassic.

What to expect at Globalls – course themes

Zootopia is the newest course and was only opened last year in 2023. You can expect to be surrounded by a myriad of technicolour animals, such as pythons, flamingos, and so many more, and it begins at a rainbow bridge and finishes on a roundabout! Look out for their glow-in-the-dark replicas of iconic Brighton landmarks, Brighton Palace Pier, and the Pavilion on your way around.

If you are a dinosaur lover, then Jurassic is the course for you. With its stunning collection of neon prehistoric creatures dotted around the course, you will feel like you’re in an alternate world. This is the longest-running course and has become quite the crowd-pleaser, no matter what age you are.

More than mini golf: carnival games and bar

It gets better, because not only is Globalls home to 3 incredible mini-golf courses, but it also offers carnival games! Your one ticket will cover 10 different challenges and include lots of competitive spirit between you and your friends, family, or date!

A regular ticket is only £9.95 per person or £10.95 for an amenable ticket if you want the flexibility. If you’re a carer wishing to participate, you’re entitled to a 10% discount, and if you are simply an accompanying carer, you can email manager@globalls.co.uk with evidence to claim a free ticket! The games include classics like Hook a Duck and even a ghost train, which they advertise as “not for the faint-hearted.”

Another feature of Globalls that can especially be appreciated by its adult visitors is The Great Globalls Bar. You can even take your alcoholic drinks from the bar on the golf courses after 6 pm every day.

The course drink menu includes a range of house spirits, beer and cider, cocktails, and refreshing slushtails! Globalls Bar has sharing cocktails too if you’re feeling generous.

If you’re too young to drink cocktails or just don’t fancy alcohol, there are 4 mocktail options on offer, including a Mango Colada and Peach Iced Tea.

Upon entering Globalls, we were met by the friendly and bubbly front of house who thoroughly explained the course rules and what to expect. The first hole on Aquatica starts off strong with a slide, which takes you down into the main room.

It initially seems like a simple course until you go around the corner and see all of the whacky holes in store. The game is accompanied by fun, upbeat music, which you can’t help but dance to between turns, and the props are a sight to behold.

From stunning seahorses to florescent fish, Aquatica has it all, and we can assure you, you will become very competitive! Some of the different holes are so unexpected and make you think outside the box.

We found that trial and error are required for some, but this really adds to the fun, as it feels so rewarding when you finally get the jist of it!

There’s even a ball pit on the 10th hole, which children will love (or adults who are children at heart). Globalls is perfect for everyone, and you will no doubt want to go again to beat your score.
