Martlets, the Sussex-based charity providing life-changing hospice care in Brighton ad the surrounding areas, is hosting a festive celebration with a Christmas Concert on the 12th of December. Set against the backdrop of their redeveloped Hospice site in Wayfield Avenue, Hove, they promise an evening filled with music and memories.
The event will take place at All Saints Church in Hove and will feature performances by local choirs, including the Brighton Gay Men’s Chorus, BHOS Musical Theatre Choir, The Theatre Workshop, and Martlets’ own Good Vibrations Choir.
From pop hits to traditional carols, the diverse musical lineup at this Christmas concert in Brighton is set to create a memorable experience for attendees. BBC Radio Sussex breakfast show host Allison Ferns will be guiding the audience through the evening as the event’s compere.
Martlets is on a journey to bring all its services back home to its newly rebuilt Hospice in Hove, aiming to provide the best care and support for outpatients and inpatients alike. The new inpatient wards boast 14 self-contained, en-suite, accessible rooms that open onto private garden spaces. Additionally, the facility includes therapy rooms, a sanctuary space, a bespoke gym for rehabilitation, and a café providing a social space for patients and visitors.
Martlets offers a 24-hour ‘Hub’ telephone service for patients and carers, providing medical advice and assistance with symptoms. The charity also provides comprehensive bereavement services, including counselling, remembrance events, and social evenings for patients’ families and close friends.
