The post Father Christmas Grotto: Pier Pressure Brighton appeared first on We Love Brighton.

This December, Father Christmas is returning to Brighton Museum and Art Gallery after many years absent. Visiting Father Christmas is a classic family tradition but the Christmas Grotto which Pier Pressure are bringing to Brighton Museum and Art Gallery is a world away from the tacky Grottos in shopping centres we all remember from our childhoods.

Not only do they hire the most experienced and jolly Father Christmases, the Grotto itself is finished to an outstanding level so looks truly magical for little ones and in pictures to create those cherished memories for the adults too.

The helpful Christmas elves have been trained by a professional photographer to take lovely photos which can be turned into keepsakes which make ideal Christmas presents for parents, aunts, uncles, and grandparents, etc.

Visitors can book a time slot so there is none of that tedious queuing we all remember from meeting Father Christmas as children.  There is also a fabulous waiting area full of fun things and cool photo opportunities.  Refreshments are available to buy including tea, coffee, hot chocolate, mulled wine, sweets and baked goods.

Enter the Grotto through the historic Royal Pavilion Gardens and have a magical Christmas experience for the whole family.  Little ones get to talk to Father Christmas and receive an age-appropriate gift from him and adults get to take wonderful photos they can share with the whole family.

Book a time slot online for up to four children at a time and add extra accompanying adults if desired.  Special packages are available and these include a hot drink, sweet treat and/or a personalised gift created using a photo taken by the elves.

Book your time slot here: https://maximcloud.co.uk/brightonhovemuseums/tickets/#tickets

A Christmas Carol: Pier Pressure Escape Room Brighton http://welovebrighton.com/a-christmas-carol-pier-pressure/ Fri, 01 Dec 2023 12:44:48 +0000 https://welovebrighton.com/?p=201268 Experience the Charles Dickens classic tale 'A Christmas Carol" with this escape room hosted at Preston Manor by Pier Pressure in Brighton.

The post A Christmas Carol: Pier Pressure Escape Room Brighton appeared first on We Love Brighton.

]]>
Experience the Charles Dickens classic Christmas tale like never before.  Enter the beautiful Preston Manor and decide which members of your team will represent Tiny Tim, Clara, Mr Fezziwig and, of course, Mr Scrooge himself.

Move from room to room in the manor being a part of the story and solving escape room style puzzles.  Meet the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Christmas Yet to Come who will guide you through Preston Manor and the story.

With the ghosts there to help, this game is particularly suitable for people new to escape rooms and/or families bringing young children.  Experienced players and groups of adults also very much enjoy this unique game.  Because this is a route rather than a room, teams can start every half an hour so larger groups can split in half and play one after the other.

Preston Manor looks wonderful all decorated for Christmas and the genuine manor house setting makes this experience extra special.  Players have the opportunity to dress up, if they desire, to feel like a part of the story.

Each room contains unique escape room-style challenges that everyone can work together to overcome.  Pass through Scrooge’s bedroom, Fezziwig’s office and the Ghost of Christmas Presents’ magical Christmas grotto amongst other settings to discover the true meaning of Christmas.

This is the last year Pier Pressure will be running A Christmas Carol at Preston Manor and some dates are already sold out so book soon to avoid missing out.  One of last year’s teams said, ‘Fantastic, especially for the time of year. Lovely escape room. The setting was perfect for the story. Loved the immersive side to it. This made it different from the normal escape room . The actors were great. Very much in character. The whole group had fun.’

What better thing to do in Brighton than a tour of the best donuts in the city run by a company with a true passion for donuts? That’s right, we’re talking about the Underground Donut Tour, the world’s only food tour specializing in donuts.

They run donut tours all over the world including Brighton and this festive period they’re offering a special tour for a limited time only! Beyond holiday donuts you’ll also get to explore holiday sights and sounds. This tour will run unit the 7th of January 2024.

the festive Underground Donut tour: Explore donuts in brighton

If you’re a donut enthusiast or looking for an excuse to treat your taste buds, the Underground Donut Tour in Brighton is the sweetest experience you didn’t know you needed until now.

The Underground Donut Tour promises to take you on a journey through the Donutiverse. Prepare to sample Brighton’s best donuts while finding out the stories behind each delectable treat. It’s like a crash course in donutology – the science of satisfying your sugar cravings.

what to expect from this tour

The tour will take you around the best donut spots in town spanning over 2 miles (3km) and will last around 2 hours, offering lively conversations alongside a range of holiday-themed donuts and drinks along the way (how many can your stomach take?).

The tour will start at Glazed from where you will make your way through Brighton, stopping along the way to highlight various landmarks, churches, parks, and other sites. From there you can expect to visit the likes of the North Laines (where you will visit speciality donut shops including Down To Earth which serves vegan donuts), Brighton Dome, the Royal Pavilion and the Lanes. During the tour, you will learn about the history of each shop, and get recommendations for where Brightonians eat, shop and play.

When visiting the Royal Pavilion, you will have the option to finish off the tour with ice skating at the Royal Pavilion ice rink. The real ending of the tour will be at the Brighton Palace Pier (if the weather allows), which in my opinion has the best donuts in town which can only be compared to a fluffy warm cloud covered in cinnamon and sugar with the option for chocolate or Nutella dipping sauce, what more need I say!

who is this tour for and when will it run?

The cherry on top (or should we say, the glaze on the donut) is that this tour is family-friendly which makes it the perfect option for a fun day out with your children. And of course, the even better news is that it caters to groups of all sizes (up to 20 people), making it the perfect experience for stag and hen parties, birthdays, school trips, weekend getaways and corporate events.
