This is an authentic, cosy backstreet pub near the bustling London Road and a fantastic place for getting an authentic flavour of Brighton.

The Grand Central

The Sussex University Student Union bar is a great spot for anyone who fancies a drink without breaking the bank. They have daily Happy Hours from 5-10 pm and a kitchen open every day until 9 pm where you can get freshly made sandwiches and wraps.

Lewes Road Inn

This community pub is found in the middle of the busy Lewes Road, an area highly popular with students, making the Lewes Road Inn a great place for drinks on a budget. They offer student discounts on selected drinks at all times, a Happy Hour for non-students between 4 and 6 pm every day, and a recently revamped food menu.

Although most nights you can find some sort of event happening here, whether it’s a quiz or live music, the Lewes Road Inn also has a good collection of board and card games, so no matter when you visit, you’re sure to be well entertained.

The New Unity

Making its home in the middle of London Road, the New Unity is best known to locals for being a popular sports bar. However, what many might not realise is they also have a huge collection of board games for those who aren’t interested in sports.

With fantastic Mexican food and a wide range of drinks, including a number of the highly popular Laines beers on draught, The New Unity is a great choice for a games night over drinks with friends.

The World’s End

It wouldn’t be right to talk about pubs with games without mentioning this iconic Brighton pub. The World’s End, found near the top of London Road, has a huge range of draught beers from both premium breweries and the local games company, fantastic student deals, and a delicious food menu.

It’s their upstairs games arcade, however, that makes them such a staple of the Brighton pub scene. Featuring a variety of classic arcade games and a huge Scalextric racetrack, this pub has it all and is always worth a visit.

This quirky and cosy café on the Brighton/Hove border offers a gaming fix for everyone. In the daytime, it’s a great place for a coffee and some lunch, while in the evening they serve a number of beers, wines, and spirits.

They have a select number of consoles so you can play much-loved video games against a friend and of course a variety of both traditional and brand-new board games.
