Calling all Armchair Detectives and ‘Murder She Wrote’ fans! Komedia Brighton is hosting the one-of-a-kind murder mystery experience in its beautiful basement space. The critically acclaimed show was rated one of Time Out 50 Great Nights Out in London in both 2021 and 2019 and has played to sell-out audiences across the UK and Australia.
With a fully-stocked bar, an extensive snack menu and the very finest in Murder She Wrote content, Solve-Along-A-Murder-She-Wrote at Komedia Brighton is a must-do for mega fans and newbies alike.
The Venue:
Komedia Brighton is centrally located on Gardner Street. Heading to the basement, you’ll find yourself in a softly-lit space, with both banquet-size tables and cosy booths holding a diverse crowd of fans of the show.
The Vibe At The Solve Along:
Having never seen an episode of the show before, I was a little unsure what to expect! But our host, Tim Benzie, put us at ease straight away, with both his unbelievable knowledge of the show and his hilarious chat. Clearly a super fan, he got the already raucous crowd hyped up for the evening in full Jessica Fletcher costume.
We enjoyed a fully interactive screening of a classic episode of the show, bursting with audience participation. The episode was broken up with interactive games, quizzes and trivia; we ranked actors on their fame and their characters on their suspiciousness, we were quizzed on the episode so far and enjoyed a raffle to win ‘Murder, She Wrote’ prizes.
We felt in safe hands throughout the night and waggled our suspicion paddles with increasing fervour as the show reached its climax. The evening ended with a bang, with the whole audience releasing their party poppers simultaneously, rounding off a unique and hilarious night of mystery-solving fun.
Before we left, we were treated to a sing-along of the theme tune to Tim’s original lyrics, which was the perfect way to round off the night.
The Verdict:
A must-do for everyone, especially lovers of cosy crime and Murder, She Wrote. The next show of Solve-Along-A-Murder-She-Wrote at Komedia Brighton will be taking place on the 30th of April 2024. Doors open at 7 pm and the show starts at 8 pm.
