Brighton is set to shine even brighter than usual this holiday season with the winter light experience, “The Brighton Lights,” taking place from the 15th of December to the 23rd of December 2023 from 4 pm until 8 pm every day at One Garden Brighton in Stanmer Park. This enchanting event will be THE thing to do in Brighton for that week and promises to be a celebration of community, family, and all things festive.

The Brighton Lights is a family-friendly event suitable for all ages. Visitors can revel in the combination of twinkling lights, captivating installations, and dazzling projections that create a winter wonderland atmosphere.

Groups are more than welcome at this event too. Make it a memorable night out by gathering friends or colleagues and making your way to Stanmer Park for an evening filled with festive drinks, dancing, and the warm glow lights.

  • Bus: Two bus options from central Brighton (78 to Stanmer Village, 25 to Stanmer Park).
  • Train: Falmer Railway Station is a short walk from Stanmer Park.
  • Car: Located off the A27 between Brighton and Lewes; no free parking.
  • Bike: Approximately 25 minutes to cycle from central Brighton; ample bicycle racks are available.

Facilities and Accessibility

A dedicated space is available for parents and carers, equipped with facilities for feeding, warming milk, baby food, resting, and changing. All children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

The event, held on gravel pathways through the gardens, is suitable for most all-terrain mobility scooters and wheelchairs. One companion is welcome to assist a registered disabled person. This event is also dog-friendly. Well-behaved dogs on a lead are welcome, and assistance dogs are always permitted.

The Brighton Lights event prioritises the safety and security of attendees, with trained staff, emergency procedures, and security measures in place to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all.

Specially curated sessions on Thursday, the 21st of December, at 4:00 pm and 4:15 pm, offer a peaceful and relaxed experience for Special Educational Needs (SEN) children and adults.
