How to look stylish in winter?

It is enough to look stylish in the warm season to have a few right things, but the task is much more difficult in winter. Winter clothes must be comfortable, warm, look good and at the same time match each other. The compatibility problem often arises when you combine office sets with outerwear. And in general, to make a competent bow of more than five things takes work.

Of course, winter is a more comfortable time of year. Sometimes you want to stay home and do what you like, like watching live streaming games or your favourite TV show. But if you’re leaving the house, you should remember the style.

Based on the season’s leading trends, we have identified several basic, fashionable techniques that will allow you to mix warm things most successfully. We think about our closet when winter is on its nose and ready to declare its rights. Of course, every girl wants to look stylish and stay attractive even in the harshest winter, but we must learn how to combine style and warmth skillfully. That is why we decided to discuss how to look stylish in winter.

A few general rules

The climate of most countries does not indulge residents of the warm weather and mild transitions between seasons, but you always want to dress nicely and look stylish. Therefore, the selected items must be reliable, high quality, warm and fashionable. To get good winter clothes, you should follow these recommendations:

  • Choose products made of durable materials. Outerwear is best to choose from durable materials and refuse the variations of bologna or cloak fabric. It is best to buy jackets and down jackets made of polyamide or nylon coats, and fur coats should be made of natural or high-quality artificial fur.
  • An essential winter closet should include clothes of different cuts and styles. To be ready to go to work, on a date, or at the market, you must have other things: dresses and skirts, sweaters and socks, blouses and bodysuits, pants and jeans, and so on.
  • Don’t give up on winter accessories. You should wear gloves or mittens, a hat and a scarf to stay warm. Combine the accessories and the rest of your closet elements correctly in terms of color palette and style.
  • Buy clothes according to size. Things that are too tight in winter can restrict movement and contribute to hypothermia. Excessively loose items of clothing warm poorly and blow.
  • Underwear. Underwear is good because it takes away excess moisture and keeps our body temperature, so it is worth buying at least underwear and socks of this kind.
  • Keep from putting away in the closet tights, socks, and stockings. Feel free to pick up tights with a pattern or colored socks. It will keep your feet warm and make the image interesting and unusual.

Fashionable winter trends

The world’s designers have taken care to make it easier for us to choose clothes for winter, dividing fashion items into four main styles that solve the question of how to dress stylishly in winter:

  • sporty;
  • oversize;
  • retro;
  • patchwork.

One of the most convenient and easy options to solve the problem of how to combine style and warmth in winter is to buy things in a sporty manner. Today you can choose tight-fitting sweatpants and baggy sweatshirts, warm pants with sweatshirts, sports dresses, and stylish socks. Good look and give warmth products made of microfiber, dense knitwear, and polyester. There is no need to limit yourself to dark colors, because warm pastels, red shades, and all sorts of prints also allow us to look stylish.

How to look stylish in winter and stay warm

For many seasons products remain relevant in the style of oversize: voluminous sweaters, loose skirts, oversized down jackets, and coats. You will look stylish in the office and on a romantic evening with such clothes.

Use retro and pop art styles to add a twist to your image. Such clothes add originality to the idea, bringing us back a couple of decades to the past: sweaters made of thick knitwear, full dresses, puffed long skirts, coats with fur collars, and berets.

Patchwork is the original style, primarily for young women. As part of such a closet, you can not hesitate to wear a coat or down jacket with extensive embroidery, men’s shoes with a long skirt and tights to match the boots.

What to buy first of all

If you have yet to decide on an essential closet for winter but want to look stylish and not freeze in cold weather, then you can buy many items immediately. These closet items include:

  • Quilted fabric items – from outerwear to skirts, vests, suits, and dresses. Depending on the style, such outfits can be worn daily, at work, and on an evening outing.
  • High-neck sweaters. A turtleneck is handy but slightly outdated, so a suitable alternative will be a voluminous sweater with a high neck and long sleeves that barely cover the fingers.
  • Classic pants or skirt. It is best to choose models with a wool thread. They are not voluminous in appearance but hot and suitable for almost any style and clothing.

Layering

A trend that has yet to lose its relevance for a season. Designers suggest insulating yourself by layering things on top of each other. On the catwalk, such a method looks organic and stylish, but achieving such an effect in real life takes work. So what distinguishes a successful experiment from a failed one?

A layered image can be successful if it combines different textures – chiffon, knitwear, smooth leather, wool, and so on. If you mix in an outfit with only dense, warm things, you risk looking like a cabbage. Look for harmony in the shades – they also need to be harmoniously combined.

If you need more confidence, don’t introduce different prints into the image. Of course, it is possible to befriend the photos with each other, but it is more complex than complementing one with monochrome things.

Playing with proportions

You can build an image not only on the contrast of colours but also on shapes. This method is especially relevant for winter looks since most warm clothes are voluminous.

Choosing a voluminous down jacket, fluffy coat, or coat oversize, built the composition so that it was the most significant part of the silhouette. In contrast with the narrow bottom, exaggerated proportions visually make the figure more graceful and fragile.

Close shades

Combining different shades of the same colour is another technique that will allow you to compose a win-win winter look. Try building a look around your shades of beige and brown, or bet on another complementary colour. It is a perfect way to combine a few of the right things in an outfit.

Dedicating your entire set to one colour is optional, although you can, given that it’s one of this season’s top trends. But two or three pieces in the same range will already play a role.
