Christmas Weekend Makers Fair Comes to Wagner Hall in Brighton

If you are a lover of all things arts and crafts, or just looking for something unique and special to buy a loved one this Christmas, then you’re not going to want to miss the annual Christmas Weekend Makers Fair which takes place on the weekend starting Friday 18th November at Wagner Hall in Brighton.

What can we expect from this year’s fair? Well, as is the case each year, the fair showcases some of the very best in bespoke arts and crafts from small independent businesses across the county. Taking a wander through Wagner Hall over the weekend, visitors will be greeted with a jovial and festive atmosphere, with over 50 stalls set up and dedicated to exhibiting handmade homeware, jewellery, clothing, children’s toys, games, pet accessories, and much much more. Visitors will be able to pick up some Christmas presents well in advance of the big day and support local businesses at the same time. What’s not to love about that?

As we all know, Christmas shopping can be thirsty work, so the organisers at the Christmas Weekend Makers Fair have employed the help of The Blue Anchor pop-up bar, which will be serving festive drinks including mulled wine & cider throughout the weekend. There will also be plenty of craft beer available for those who prefer their booze to remain frosty.

For those visitors who would prefer to stick to alternative forms of nourishment, a pop-up deli cafe, hosted by the team at Seashore Bakes, will be on hand serving up delicious savoury snacks, sweet treats, and cakes. Hot drinks of the less boozy variety will be served in the shape of coffee, tea, and indulgent hot chocolate.

As we enter into this festive period, in a time of financial distress for the country, it is more important than ever to support local independent businesses. Many of these businesses depend on the income they receive over the Christmas period in order to keep running and producing quality bespoke, handmade products. Without local independent businesses, places like Brighton and Hove would not be as magical as they are. Brighton is built on small businesses so it’s time to give something back this Christmas time. Besides, if you are on a tight budget yourself then many of the products on sale at the fair will be well suited to every bugetary requirement.

Wagner Hall is located minutes away from Churchill Square and can be accessed from Regency Road. There is ample parking located in the area including Churchill Square Orange Car Park.

The event runs over the weekend from Friday, November 18 – Sunday, November 20th, and is open every day from 10.30 am to 5.30 p.m.

The event is FREE and is open to all ages.
