Brighton Comedy Festival 2014

10th – 25th October
Brighton Dome, Komedia and The Old Market

With Edinburgh done and dusted and comedians are making their way back to reality, Brighton is already gearing up for the next big thing with the second biggest comedy festival in the UK after the Fringe. Waking up from their temporary hibernation, the best of the international comedy circuit pack up their buckets and spades and head down to the seaside to enjoy the last rays of the British Summer (here’s hoping!)where the heady air of the seaside combines with some of the world’s funniest people to create a mixture that is unmissable.
Brighton Comedy Festival puts a smile on the faces of over 30,000 people every year, most shows usually selling out by September. The multi-venue event, now in it’s 13th year, is a must for comedy fans from far and wide. This year favourites Jon Richardson, Simon Amstell and Dave Gorman amongst many others, will be delighting audiences with gags galore.
Brighton Dome, Corn Exchange, Studio Theatre, Komedia and The Old Market will open their doors for 3 weeks for a variety of shows from the creme de la creme of stand-up comedy. Many more acts are to be announced, but the exciting line-up so far includes; Tom Stade, Katherine Ryan, Jason Cook, Marcus Brigstocke, Bridget Christie, Tony Law, James Acaster, Paul Zerdin, Jason Byrne, Susan Calman, Cardinal Burns, sara Pascoe, Vixki Stone and Seann Walsh…just a few od the delights, plus the exceptional Sqwuawker finalists strutting their stuff amongst the Seagulls.
