Goodbye January Party

Say farewell to the January blues at the Goodbye January Party at the Prince George pub in the North Laine. Organisers invite you to celebrate surviving it another year with a full live band fronted by Rosie Mark and drink deals.

I’ve been to this pub twice in the past two weeks to enjoy its Sunday roast and Monday £10 burger offer. The food from the all vegan/vegetarian kitchen run by T (at Hove/ at The Dials) comes highly recommended by me.

Get in touch with the pub to secure a table for this Saturday night kick-off to February 2024 if you’re free on the night and looking for things to do in Brighton. There will be offers on draft beer and cider and cocktails are two for £16. Free entry.

Where: Prince George, 5 Trafalgar St, Brighton, BN1 4EQ

When: Saturday 3 February 2024 from 8.30pm

The Big Chill: a Deep Rest Workshop

Fancy two and a half hours of deep rest? Me too! Yoga teacher Christina Christoph is running her popular Restshop at Luna Wave at Sea Lanes this February. The invitation is to surrender to the wisdom and rhythm of nature through restorative yoga and iRest Nidra.

I tried two of Christina’s classes as part of Luna Wave’s trial membership and found them incredibly relaxing, including trying iRest Nidra for the first time. Attendees are asked to bring a blanket, pillow, notepad and pen to the workshop. Everything else will be provided. What I love about this yoga studio is it looks out to sea and you can often hear the waves. Tickets £25.
