T @ Hove: Review

T @ Hove is a quirky vegan and vegetarian café and coffee shop, known for hulking
sandwiches, fresh fruit smoothies and quality coffee.

The Vibe

Inside, T @ Hove is surprisingly large and minimally decked out in trendy plants and
leafy vines, as well as soft, suspended lighting, which hangs from the ceiling to create
a naturally peaceful environment. With a range of indoor and outdoor seating, T @
Hove is enjoyed by large groups, brunching buddies and laptop workers.

The Food and Drink

Offering a huge range of vegan and vegetarian fare, you’ll be spoiled for choice. Choose
between thick-cut loaded breakfast sandwiches, stuffed pitas, and topped sourdough
toasts, as well as sizzling breakfast skillets like shakshuka and huevos rancheros,
suitable for solo dining or as a sharing skillet.

The variety didn’t stop at the food either, with everything available from classic good-
quality flat whites, to beetroot, no-tella or Biscoff lattes.

We opted for the crispy vegan sarnies: one vegan sausage and pesto bun, stuffed
with vegan sausages, a crispy hash brown and vegan ‘scrambled egg’ as well as a
tasty pesto sauce, and one deli sandwich, bursting with homemade vegan pastrami,
smoked applewood cheese, sauerkraut, pickles and crisp salad, all wedged in
between truly crunchy, toasted and fresh bread.

Both were hot, crispy, crunchy pockets of delicious vegan sauciness. Be warned: the
vegan ‘meats’ are truly meaty, which might not float all vegan’s boats. But there are
plenty of options which let the veggies shine, like the miso mushrooms on sourdough
toast.

Of course, we couldn’t resist a salted caramel brownie, which was perhaps the
gooiest thing I’ve ever eaten: a chocoholic’s paradise!

The Verdict

With stonking sandwiches averaging just £8, T @ Hove is an excellent spot for
breakfast, brunch, or an evening Tea (@ Hove).
