100% sounds like it’s written by someone that’s moved here as most brightonians wouldn’t mention half of this!
1- You remember buying your records from one of urban records or rounder records. Or going in the old Virgin Megastore (now Argos)
2- You know not to go on the pier, in buddies or any of the Donatellos chain Italians as they are for tourists on stag and hen dos and therefore awful.
3- You remember when you could catch the blue bus or the busy bees bus.
4- You danced the night away at every Fatboy slim concert on the beach.
5- You remember shopping in the piss smelling old Churchill square with the random round building at the front or the massive Hanningtons store in North Street.
6- You have been to the Brighton Ice Rink (not the christmas one), The laser warriors/zone in Western Road or under the King Alfred and Peter Pans play ground.
7- You had birthday parties at Pirates deep.
8- You remember the funfair and go karts on top of the sealife centre and went to the Canon Cinema in East Street.
9- You remember these city centre drinking establishments: Event 2, Orianas, Paradox, Club Barcelona, Greens, Henry J Beans, Walkabout, McCluskeys, The Joint, Pig and paradise, Bar Med, Polar Bar, Shark Bar, ONeils, Sweet Fanny Adams, The Boson, Font and Firkin, Squid, Toad, Old Orleans, Sugacube, Santa Fe, The Beach, Gemini, Arc club, Cuba Club, The music factory, Escape, pressure point, The BG, Barbalaar bar, Zap, Funky Buddah, Alley Cats, Sweet, Pink Coconut, Standard, Ocean Rooms, Hotshots and many more forgotten bars and clubs.

14- You know the only after hours cafe to visit is called the market diner not gut busters.. Gut buster is a breakfast type available AT the market diner!
15- You know where Jack The ripper alleyway is and the alley from Quadraphenia.
16- You remember when West Street had a huge car park actually in it.
17- You played at one of two casinos, Preston Street or Queens Road.
18- You know who Terry Garoghan is and can sing the last bus to whitehawk jingle.

I see your point about this list but seeing as so many people that call this city their home aren’t originally from here a lot of people can relate to it. Born in Brighton in 1942 …Been on the West Pier also the PALACE Pier the cost was 3d for an adult 1d for children, if you don’t know what that is, its Old Money ..Shopped in Hanningtons, learn’t to skate in the ice rink at the bottom of West street before they pulled it down and built an eyesore that is there now which was originally caled the the top rank suite when first built and a lot more information I could tell you about the town … PS travelled up to London on the Brighton Belle daily to work ..
