Hatchet Harry’s club night

Axe throwing has been gaining more and more popularity in the UK over the last few years and it’s easy to see why, it’s fun and super satisfying when you sink your axe blade into the target.

What’s more, to no surprise it turns out that axe throwing is a very effective stress reliever, making it a perfect pastime after a long day at the office! Luckily, Hatchet Harry’s, bang in the centre of Brighton hosts a weekly club night every Monday from 6 pm.

Unlike their group slots, which are designed to run people through the basics of axe throwing, Hatchet Harry’s club night is all about throwing in your own time, improving your skills, and chilling out to some music. There are no limits on throws and no instructors leading the session, just some axes, a target, and your imagination!

If you’re up for a friendly tournament, there’s usually someone else who’ll oblige! Entry is £12.50 for the evening, just drop in on the day to join. Please note that you must have attended a Hatchet Harry’s training session first to make sure you have been through the safety training.

The Fiddler’s Elbow is an Irish pub known for its hearty fare, summer street parties, friendly atmosphere, tradition, and one of the cheapest pints of Guinness in Brighton!

The Fiddler’s Elbow is decorated with vintage trinkets such as retro pipes and glass bottles adding to the charm of this emerald isle boozer. I can’t think of a better pub in Brighton to sit back and listen to some traditional live Irish music.

Every Monday, The Fiddler’s Elbow puts on their Irish Trad Session, showcasing an alternating roster of performers playing all facets of live traditional folk music providing the perfect jumping-off point for the forthcoming week.

Whether it’s classic Irish drinking songs by The Dubliners, The Clancy Brothers, or The Pogues, or a more serene folk instrumental you’re after, the Fiddler’s Elbow has you covered. Starting at 8 pm and finishing at 10 pm, the Irish Trad Session is a great opportunity to watch talented trad musicians perform in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
