Born in the bustling Lanes of our coastal town of Brighton in 2006, Riddle & Finns have become a household name in high-quality, sustainably caught and local seafood, oyster and Champagne dining. The seafood and fish on offer is sourced from a fish market at Hove Lagoon.

The owners took inspiration from the high-end liquor shops and oyster bars of New York City and Paris. Their menus feature an array of dishes that highlight the best catches from the sea, including oysters, lobster, crab, mussels, prawns, and various fish varieties.

In addition to this, they offer crustacea, meat and vegetables, which can be accompanied by wines and Champagnes from their extensive selection. The restaurant caters to different dietary requirements and has a range of menus including A La Carte Menu, Gluten Free Menu, Dairy Free Menu, Aperitif, Kids menu and Dessert Menu.

The interior at the location in the Lanes has an elegant ambience with intimate seating, soft lighting, and maritime-themed elements making it the perfect spot for a romantic dinner, special celebration (private event booking available), or casual gathering service at this al fresco restaurant is exceptional. Outdoor seating is also available across venues. At Riddle & Finns in the Lanes, you can find an Oyster Bar which is a unique feature and an open kitchen which allows you to watch as your food is prepared.

Whether you prefer an ocean view from their beach location or the intimate Lanes setting, Riddle & Finns can suit your dining preferences. The Rotunda on the beach was opened in 2014 and the owners of Riddle & Finns have also opened another restaurant called Due South which is located on the seafront. It is important to note that the Riddle & Finns located in the Lanes don’t take reservations and use a first-come, first-served approach.
